Maternity Programme

The Programme is specifically designed to actively empower and provide knowledge about a safe and healthy pregnancy and delivery. Providing essential tools to ensure the best possible care.

Joining the programme, expectant mothers are assigned their own personal care coach. All care coaches are registered nursing sisters with extensive experience and additional qualifications in midwifery. Before and after the birth they regularly offer their support and guidance.

Belly Babies logo

We invite you to engage with our Belly Babies online programme. By registering on Belly Babies, you will have access to expert antenatal and postnatal support in the comfort of your own home through:

  • an online antenatal course consisting of a comprehensive collection of videos, presented by various experts within the maternity field;
  • an online face-to-face consultation with a highly qualified lactation (breastfeeding) specialist, to help you and your baby establish and maintain a happy breastfeeding routine. You can book your personal consultation through the Belly Babies online platform; and
  • a follow-up online face-to-face consultation with a lactation specialist, if needed.

Care Coach

Scheme benefits

Natural births (in-hospital delivery of the baby) are covered in full as part of prescribed minimum benefits. Caesarean deliveries are covered at Medical Scheme Rate, unless there are specific clinical reason or complications.

It is important to register on the Maternity Programme in order to receive additional information about your pregnancy and to be monitored closely by your care coach.

Maternity Programme enrolment form

It's important to register on the programme as soon as your doctor has confirmed your pregnancy. Consult the Scheme's benefit guide, the website or contact the Scheme's client service team for guidance. Your care coach will assist you with the registration process.
