General Benefit Limit

GENERAL BENEFIT LIMIT (Health and Budget Plan)

Benefit limits are usually allocated in calendar year cycles (from 1 January to 31 December) and is only applicable to the current year. Most benefits follow a one-year cycle.

Benefit limits will be adjusted on a pro rata basis should a member join during the year.

    info The general benefit limit will be used to fund any shortfalll or co-payments for members and their dependants until the annual limit is depleted, where after the member will fund co-payments or shortfalls for the remainder of the year.

    R5 600 per family per annum
    a Any co-payments in respect of any benefit paid by the Scheme.
    b Any shortfall in respect of any benefit paid by the Scheme
    c Any shortfall due to annual benefit limit being depleted.
    d Any relevant healthcare services with a tariff - or Nappi code failing outside the scope of the Scheme benefits.
