Imperial Motus Med is the in-house medical scheme for all permanent employees of Imperial Limited and Motus Holdings Limited and its associated and subsidiary companies

Currently the Scheme covers 7 072 members and 16 145 lives (at 31 December 2021).

The Scheme is financially sound and has reserves of 137.8% (December 2021). This is well in excess of the statutory requirement of 25% and translates into reserves of R90 650 per member.

The Scheme provides comprehensive cover for major medical events and two benefit plans offering variable levels of day-to-day cover.

The Scheme is managed by a Board of Trustees consisting of six members.

Medi Call is contracted as Imperial Motus Med's independent scheme management provider. Medi Call monitors all the Scheme's service providers on behalf of the Board of Trustees and offers a Member Care Line to assist members of the Scheme.

The appointed Administrator and managed care provider is Momentum Health Solutions.

Cedar Healthcare Consultants has been appointed to supply accredited healthcare consulting services to all employees of Imperial Limited and Motus Holdings Limited.

The Scheme is a restricted medical scheme registered in terms of the Medical Schemes Act, 131 of 1998. The Council for Medical Schemes is the regulatory body for medical schemes.
